Crystal and Cory met in high school and from that moment have been together. It is always a beautiful thing when you can be witness to a blossoming love turn into a lifetime of happiness. Crystal and Cory promised eternal love for one another on August 23rd and we were fortunate to take part in such a beautiful day for them. Jessica...The Bridal Shoot

On the evening of September 7th, Uptown Park was graced with the presence of our beautiful bride, Jessica. For Jessica's bouquet, she wanted something classic and timeless, so we opted to go with a combination of Akito Roses and White Majolika Mini Spray Roses, tied with a double satin ribbon and pearls.

Nicole + Brandt, the Wedding

And now for the wedding...

If you recall, we featured Nicole earlier on when she had her bridal portrait session. Well, her special day finally came to fruition. Nicole and Brandt looked absolutely perfect! Many thanks to Marcella Ellis Photography for the fabulous pictures! Enjoy!

The flower girls carried pomander balls filled with a combination of purple Carnations, green Dendrobium Orchids and white Lisianthus.


Nicole's bouquet consisted of white Phaelonopsis Orchids, pink Nerines, green Dendrobium Orchids, green Buttons and Lily Grass.

The centerpieces, these consisted of purple Hydrangeas, green Dendrobium Orchids and Poppy Pods.


Set on urns, the other set of centerpieces were filled with purple Hydrangeas, Limbo Roses and garnished with fresh
green and purple grape clusters.

Brandt is a huge fan of the Baltimore Ravens, so the groom's cake couldn't be anything else! What was on the inside? Our caramel butter cake with a dulce de leche filling!

It's time for some cake. Nicole and Brandt enjoyed a little slice of heaven....our signature Almond butter cake with raspberry filling and Almond Butter Creme icing.

Nicole + Brandt, the Rehearsal Dinner

What a fun couple Nicole and Brandt are! From the moment I met them, I knew they were a wild pair and so completely in love with each other! Their theme was vineyards, incorporating the colors of green and deep purple.

For their rehearsal dinner, we didn't want to take away from the original theme, but still wanted to give their guests to a sneak peek of their wedding.

Many thanks to The Petroleum Club for their accommodations.

The tables were graced with centerpieces set on wrought iron candelabras

The centerpieces consisted of Limbo and Blue Curiosa Roses, Stargazer Lilies, purple Hydrangeas, Bells of Ireland
and green hanging Amaryllis.

A combination of purple Lisianthus, Stargazer Lilies, Limbo & Blue Curiosa Roses grace this arrangement for the Sign-In table.

Bella Terrazza, Tuscany of Garden Oaks & The Chef's Table Fiasco....

The not-so-shocking news of Bella Terrazza's, Tuscany of Garden Oaks' and The Chef's Table's news of going bankrupt has created such a fiasco, leaving so many brides without a venue for their upcoming weddings.

Let me start by saying how truly sorry I am that all these affected brides have to suffer the consequences. A Day To Remember is extended a hand to assist brides in finding a new location.

For those of you who may not have heard, here is a copy of an article, courtesy of KTRK, Channel 13 News:

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- As if the hurricane wasn't stressful enough on many Southeast Texans, some Houstonians are dealing with more stress. They're supposed to get married in the coming weeks, and now they are not only out a place but a whole lot of money, as well.

Brides have been coming to their supposed wedding site on Chimney Rock and the other location in The Heights all day trying to get some answers, but there hasn't been anyone around to give answers.

Several brides we talked with have paid $1,800 to $13,000, now they don't know if they will ever see that money again or where they will celebrate their big day.

But moving trucks were loading the last of what's left inside the Tuscany at Garden Oaks on West 34th Street bringing Rhonda Lotter's perfect wedding dream to a screeching halt.

"The place was the most important to me so I'm still upset about it," said Lotter.

The most upsetting, after paying several thousand dollars, no one from the facility ever contacted Lotter or her fiancé telling them about the problems. Instead they found out through a third party.

"Now we have nothing, we have flowers and cake, no place to celebrate," said fiancé Nathan Rhodes.

Mairim Carbonell was notified via email from a sales coordinator that her wedding at the Bella Terrazza on Chimney Rock is cancelled. She said she was just as shocked as the other brides and expressed sympathy. Though it wasn't much comfort to this couple who just paid $5,000 after the company offered a discount if they paid in full with cash.

Wedding event owners were also there, offering to help after a flood of calls from desperate brides.

"One of the main things I've always worried about by some accident is you might book weddings on the same day and two brides show up at the same time," said Bert Truxillo of the Magnolia Ballroom. "That's bad enough, but this..."

Some are trying to still give these brides, who have spent everything without much possibility of recouping their losses, that fairy tale ending.

Event coordinators we talked to today said the brides from the story should try holding their weddings on off days like Friday or Sunday so they can still reserve a space at this late date.

We tried to contact the owners of the two wedding sites and were unsuccessful.
