Discover the Magic Toy Drive

One of the most important causes for me has always been helping out sick children, especially during the holiday season. It all started when I was at the hospital with my parents and noticed a tiny baby, no more than 2 months old, being wheeled into an operating room. My heart just went out to that child and his parents. I was in tears for a while and wondered why children had to endure such pain, especially at such a young age.

It goes without saying that at that time, it was in November, so it then dawned on me the holidays were coming up and these children would probably be spending their holidays in the hospital. It certainly made me realize just how lucky I was to be healthy. While waiting for my mom to be released from the hospital, I talked to my dad and shared with him my desire to start up a toy drive for hospitalized children.

Discover the Magic Toy Drive will be holding it's 6th Annual toy drive, benefiting the children at Texas Children's Hospital. I invite each and everyone to attend our mixer. You can also visit our website to make an online donation.

I look forward to seeing you at our Toy Drive Party!!!!

December Specials are here....

December is one of my favorite months of the year. Mainly because it means Christmas is just around the corner! Tis the season to be jolly!

Don't want to do any baking, or you simply don't have the time for it? Then call upon us for those perfect Christmas cookies! This year we are featuring our delicious ginger snaps, traditional "polvorones" (a popular Mexican sand cookie) and our signature shaped sugar cookies. These cookies are a great gift for the corporate setting. If you have some key clients you'd love to surprise, the cookies will be a great hit.

Ginger Snaps, packaged in our tin containers and accented with seasonal decor.

Our shaped sugar cookies in assorted designs, can be presented in a platter, arranged in a bouquet or in our tin containers.

Not into cookies? Well, we've got some great cakes and pies, perfect for your holiday table.

We also have some beautiful floral centerpieces for your Christmas table. These are always popular to send to your loved ones as a nice Christmas surprise.

Be sure to email us at orders@daytoremember.net to place your order or contact our office.

Jessica + Eric...The Wedding

The following week after Hurricane Ike's visit, I received a phone call from Jessica, asking if we were okay. Second question was, if we would still be able to do their wedding? At that time, it was such a difficult question to answer, since we were without power!

Come Friday, after Hurricane Ike's visit, we got our power back and the first phone call I made was to Jessica, saying we were ready to rock-n-roll! Jessica and her family were on pins and needles, so upon hearing the good news, she was ecstatic to know they would not miss out on the cake, as she emphasized!

Fast forward to September 27th, and we couldn't have asked for a more perfect day. The sun was shining, not a cloud in the blue sky and temperature was just perfect! Jessica and Eric had a picture perfect wedding! Many thanks to Danny of DW Photography for providing me with these awesome pictures! Enjoy!

Looks like someone was sad to see Jessica getting married!

Take this ring! The real reason why the ring didn't go in? Eric's fingers were swollen for some unknown reason.

Some alone time!

How romantic!

Amira Tanya, the bellydancer, did a phenomenal job! She was a surprise gift to the couple on behalf of Jessica's parents.
