{Published} The Bride's Cafe | Essence Magazine Online

I've always had a fascination for the era of the 1940s-1960s....an era of timeless fashion, maybe a simpler lifestyle and in my mind...timeless romance! Mad Men and Pan Am have been TV series that have brought these eras back to life.

You can imagine my excitement when my lovely couple, Jasmine+Myles expressed to me their desire to theme the wedding to the 1950s, more specifically to the highly acclaimed film, Carmen Jones. We began talking about styling their engagement session around the movie, specifically to theme their Save the Dates around the Carmen Jones movie promos.

The couple set off to find the perfect attire, we found the perfect location and headed off to the 1940 Air Terminal Museum and had ourselves some photo shoot fun with the fabulous Craig Davis of Studio 563.

Seeing the amazing photos, I knew we couldn't just keep these to ourselves and decided to share with Janie Medley of The Bride's Cafe. She loved them so much and had to feature the shoot! To my surprise, it didn't stop there, as Janie was thrilled with the results, she made the magic happen and had our shoot featured on Essence Magazine Online! How exciting, right?!

You can see the full feature here.

Well, lastly, Glamour Magazine Online gave Janie a sweet mention in their weekly wedding roundup for our shoot! So, needless to say, it was a successful engagement shoot all around! Thank you for stopping by!
