Remember Fressia and Jeremiah? We have some great professional pictures, taken by an upcoming young photographer, Joel Gutowsky, that we can finally share with you. Check them out!

Fressia's bouquet was a combination of Lisianthus, Hydrangeas, Roses, Freesias and Carnations.

The bridesmaids carried bouquets filled with Orchids, Mini Calla Lilies and Pin Cushions.

The pew arrangements were a combination of Hydrangeas, Lisianthus, Roses, Carnations and Alstromerias.

Erin + Sean, Part II

You may recall, a few months ago we had the honor of working with Erin and Sean on their beautiful wedding. Well, at last, I've got professional pictures, yay! Enjoy!

Erin having some fun before the wedding.

Erin had to take a sneak peek, but made sure Sean wasn't near by.

Erin with her dad, about to walk down the aisle.

Erin, looking beautiful in her traditional Celtic wedding gown.

Erin and Sean wanted to incorporate the "caim", having all guests creating a circle around them.

The first kiss.

Erin & Sean having some fun with pictures....

....and more fun. Loved they were both in Celtic attire!

Beef kabobs were just part of the appetizers.

The first dance.

The wedding cake was a Strawberry Grand Marnier with a cream cheese filling and Grand Marnier butter creme icing. The groom's cake, wasn't cake, but a huge and thick Chocolate Chip cookie.

Now this wedding had all the line dances possible! :) From top: The Chicken Dance, The Cupid Shuffle and The Macarena!

And more dancing!

Just before the rose petal departure.

Breast Cancer Awareness

Today marks the first day to National Breast Cancer Awareness and as many of you may already know, I take this awareness very serious and to heart.

October 15, 2005 was the most horrific and saddest day of my life. My dear mother lost her battle to this terrible disease. The first time around, my mother had been strong enough to fight breast cancer, after making the difficult decision of getting a mastectomy. A few years later, the cancer was back, and back with a vengeance, basically leaving her bed-ridden and unable to communicate verbally. The cancer had, within the course of ten months, rapidly spread.

It was truly a difficult year, spending most days in the hospital, other days at home, but slowly watching a beautiful, strong and vibrant woman turn into a delicate, weak and tiny person. We were all put to a test, for what reason, only God knows, but a painful test indeed. As I type this, everything is still all too raw and can't keep the tears from flowing and my heart from aching.

I don't think I've ever gone public about my experience, but I do encourage you to please have your sisters, mothers, girlfriends, wives, daughters and yourselves take preventative measures. Please!

With so many wonderful organizations out there, it is difficult to pick just one. I've recently become involved with Pink Initiative. So what I'm doing now is offering all profit proceeds of our cookie and cupcake sales (or see picture below) towards Pink Initiative for the month of October.

Please click on image for larger view.

So please give us a call (713.862.1751) or shoot us an email (orders@daytoremember.net), place your order and feel good doing something great!

Thank you for making a difference!
