{William + Kate} The Royal Wedding of 2011

The most anticipated wedding...the Royal Wedding of William + Kate was witnessed by millions around the world. Many claimed they expected more, but I personally think it was a perfect fit and what defines Kate.

William + Kate have been under the scrutiny of many and there was so much pressure to have the perfect wedding. In my eyes, it was beautiful, flawless, understated and yet very elegant. From the gorgeous Sarah Barton dress, with lace appliqué over Chantilly lace, it was such an elegant yet understated dress that gave Kate such a regal look. I was glad to see she steered from Princess Diana's footsteps when it came to the train of her dress, as well as the bridal bouquet. Although Kate's dress sported a gorgeous cathedral train, it was perfectly designed to fit with the dress without over exaggerating.

The bouquet, a sophisticated gathering of Lilly of the Valley, Myrtle, Sweet William and Hyacinth. While most criticize it's understatement, I thought it was just perfect...very much Kate's style! The bouquet was designed by Shane Connolly and is said to draw the traditions of flowers of significance for the Royal Family, the Middleton family and on the Language of Flowers.

Kate's tiara: the stunning Cartier tiara lent by the Queen, which was a diamond tiara given to the Queen on her 18th birthday by the Queen Mother.

I leave you with two beautiful images from the wedding. If you'd like to view more pictures of the Royal Wedding, please click on this link.
