Videographer: Do You Really Need One?

"Do we really need to hire a videographer for our wedding?" If I got a nickel every time a bride/groom asked me that question, I'd be a rich person for sure. My answer remains the same...YES!

As much as I profess the importance of photography, the same rule applies for videography, if not more important. Now, keep in mind, gone are the days of sitting through six to eight hours of raw footage, nobody wants to do that! Videographers nowadays, offer so much more than just a long "video". Houston is home to some fabulous videographers that will offer you more than just a video...it's a cinematography of memories.

With the technology today, wedding videography has revolutionized offering a wonderful experience to re-live the wonderful emotions on such a special day. As with photography, selecting the right videographer is just as important, as this is the person who will be following you throughout your special day. The right videographer will get to know you and listen to what is important to you.

We hear the old response, "Well, a videographer just isn't in our budget, plus we already have a great photographer". True, you have a wonderful photographer, but will your photographer capture the voices and the sounds? As a bride and groom, you will be in your own world and will miss out on so much. Having a videographer will ensure that all the special moments are captured, so that you can live and re-live that moment.

Most videographers will offer some great highlight videos that I'm sure you and your family will enjoy on a more regular basis, as they tend to run no more than five to ten minutes. So before you decide if a videographer, take the time to visit with some and see what they have to offer.

Here are just a few of the videographers we love to work with:
31 Films
Perry Video Productions
Imagine Videos
Robot Design Studios

You can also find some more videographers via Wedding & Event Video Association International (WEVA) , an excellent organization which offers a wealth of information on selecting a reputable videographer in your area.
